Animal’s Protection Association Minis - APAM
Animal’s Protection Association Minis APAM is a non-profit organization, a sanctuary where dogs and cats found shelter, animals that are old, blind, epileptic, some with 2 or 3 legs, animals without adoption chances! Within the space limit, we try to save also the puppies and kittens abandoned without mercy!
We develop also continuously spay/neuter campaigns for the animals with owner because we know that the only solution is this one and we hope to the day we’ll go on the street and we’ll see no abandoned dog or cat!
Also, continuously, we develop adoption campaigns in the attempt to find wonderful families for the animals saved by us! We get involved also in children education, they are the future, they are the chance to a better life for animals! APAM is a family and absolutely each of us have our daily job and our care for animals is done voluntary, beside our jobs!

Sandu the tomcat was found this spring, weakened, with a tibia fracture which had healed the wrong way. He wasn't in pain and his walk was acceptable. As some months passed became again the large tomcat he was, due to our care and that of Dr. Levente and Roxi. Unfortunately, his gaining weight back caused another fracture of the bone callus. X-rays and a long and complicated surgery followed. Those, together with the post-surgery treatment have made Sandu's life difficult. The pictures speak for themselves...
A little dog belonging to no one till recently, walked the streets with a wounded leg. He was adopted, but the family couldn't afford the vet costs to make him well. APAM was called for assistance. The dog was brought to Dr, Levente and Roxi, as an emergency case. We thank both of them again, from the bottom of our hearts, for the enormous help they are giving the animals! Unfortunately, the dog's leg had to be amputated, but he is well now: dogs can cope quite well on three legs. Those with only three legs at APAM run and play without problems. Another solved case, another yet unpaid bill!
The images speak for themselves, we believe, but they CAN'T show the extent of the damage this little soul has suffered. No one knows the pain she's been through, or how long ago she was hit by a car. All we know is that she was left there, in the road, to suffer, freezing and in pain. Human degradation shows itself every day, and leaves us little room for hope that the world would ever be kinder... There will be weeks, perhaps months till her recovery. We thank everyone willing to support us in saving this little one. UPDATE Hope has taken a bit of water and picked a little at her food. She continues her intravenous treatments... Her prognosis is still uncertain, as we think positively, we are hopeful that she will be all right! UPDATE We gave her the last hug and last kiss. Hope has left us. We had begun to hope all would be well one day, but her little body, too weak, couldn't face the unfair battle with this life. We've loved you from the first moment, and you'll always be in our hearts. It hurts a lot that you're gone, but we take comfort in the thought that you are in a better world now. RIP, dear soul.
In order to commit such deeds one has to have a criminal mind! How can someone stuff a pup into a bag and discard him as garbage!! How can anyone be so cruel!? We will never be able to understand these monsters who live among us and who are calling themselves human beings. We don't know how long the poor pup was there, after being abandoned. He was dehydrated and almost dead when some girls with golden hearts found him, and took him into the stairway of an apartment building. They tried to keep him warm and hydrate him, then called us to ask for our help. Right now, the little one is cared for by dr. Irina, and we know she will do everything in her power to make him well, so that he can come and live at the APAM Sanctuary. He will never leave again, until the day someone can offer him real love. UPDATE R.I.P.
Dear Friends, I am a little kitten, saved in the first, moments before being shoved into a garbage container. Now, i have only one eye each. The other eye had to be operated on, , because there was the risk of losing both. Many thanks to Dr. Irina, who cared for me, and operated on me, so that i could be happy again in the APAM Sanctuary. I will only leave APAM when a family will accept me as I am, with this handicap. Otherwise, I am very loving and obedient, plus I am litter box trained.
